Affiliate and advertising disclosure
Summit Goat is free to use. Here's how we pay for it.
Ads
We show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are clearly labelled and we don't control which specific ads appear.
Affiliate links
Some "Check price" links go to retailers such as REI and Amazon through affiliate programmes. If you buy something after clicking, we may earn a small commission. It doesn't change the price you pay. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
On trek pages, the Before you go box links to travel services that fit that trek: flights (Skyscanner), trains and buses (Omio), car hire (DiscoverCars), data eSIMs (Airalo), travel insurance (World Nomads, SafetyWing, Heymondo, True Traveller) and rescue membership (Global Rescue). Tours and stays link to GetYourGuide, Viator and Booking.com. Some of these are affiliate links and may earn us a commission. We choose them for what they cover, not for what they pay, and our insurance notes are general information, not advice: always read the policy wording.
Independence
Commissions never decide which products we include or how we rank them. Brands can't pay to appear in our guides, and we say clearly when we haven't tested a product ourselves.
